Situation:
Whenever I’m having a rough day at work there is nothing that the Chicken Makhani at India Palace can’t make better.  Last month I went with my coworker Tom who is an ethnic food coinsure much like myself and felt that I owe it to the owners of India Palace to finally let them know that I have a love affair with their orange chicken goodness.

Side story: In reference to my lunch buddy Tom.  My coworker’s wife actually does authentic Chinese cooking lessons (that she learned from Tom’s mother) as part of an silent auction fundraiser for their children’s school.  I’ve been trying to figure out how to get in a spot in one of these so here’s to hoping my free plug here on the blog will accomplish that!!

 Atmosphere:
India Palace is Woodbury is located in the Tamarack Village complex off of Radio Drive.  The interior is extremely well kept, has very large chairs and sizeable booths, good lighting, quiet music, and the service has always been great but I should note that I mainly eat at the lunch buffet.

Menu:
Take a look for yourself above!  Let’s just say there is a reason that they have been able to expand to four locations!  Anything Indian that you can think of or dream of is on this menu.

Our Experience:
It’s always good.  Always.  And this time was no exception.

On American Idol they say that one of the most important qualities is consistency and the same is true with favorite restaurant spots and India Palace has not failed me yet.  The buffet is always fresh but has a little bit of everything, while always having some kind of chicken curry or makhani for those of us that are cravin’ the orange goodness.

Overall:
They are always consistent, have fresh ingredients, are reasonably priced ($9 for lunch buffet M-F), and their chain is a true ethnic food gem for the Twin Cities.  So if you are looking for a great Indian restaurant in the Twin Cities than you needn’t look any further.  Especially since they now have Plymouth, Roseville and Burnsville locations along with their Woodbury spot.
